Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports patient care by performing a variety of basic care activities and accommodative services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Responsibilities are carried out within the defined scope of the position and in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines. This role does not include administering medications, providing therapy, or assuming independent responsibility for patient care. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Training:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Current CNA certification as required by state regulations.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience:
No experience required.
Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation facility, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
