Introduction

LeTourneau University invites applications from exceptionally-qualified candidates for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in the School of Nursing at either the assistant or associate professor level. LeTourneau is a vibrant and growing interdenominational, evangelical Christian university, known for high-quality academic programs that attract students of outstanding ability. The university is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).  The BSN program at LETU is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 2001, 202-887-6791.

The School of Nursing will graduate highly-skilled, progressive-thinking nurses who will carry the mission of LeTourneau as they go out to claim Christ in “every workplace, every nation.”   The candidate must also be in genuine agreement with the University’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant for life and work at LeTourneau.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidates for these positions will have clinical and teaching experience in mental health, health assessment, pediatric, and/or women’s health nursing.  The candidates will be able to use conceptual, learning-based teaching strategies.  The candidate selected will teach a full-time course load of nursing classes which will involve preparation of course materials, delivery of content, and evaluation of student learning.  The candidate will be responsible for student clinical activities as well as classroom activities.  The candidate will also be expected to participate in university activities, committees, and seminars as well as departmental meetings/activities.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications.  LeTourneau University offers an innovative healthcare package with many options, personal budget, telemedicine, year-round support, and more.  LeTourneau University also provides life insurance, contribution to a retirement program and tuition assistance.

Date Position is Available     January 2022
